2026 Route Details
While the exact street-by-street GPS file is typically released closer to the date on the official Postlaf portal, the route follows a well-established urban circuit:
- Start & Finish: Both are located at the POST Technologies “Minerais” building on Rue Émile Bian in the Cloche d’Or (Gasperich) industrial zone.
- The Loop: The 10 km course is a single large loop that heads west from Gasperich, winds through the residential streets and green spaces of the Cessange district, and returns via the newer developments of the Cloche d’Or.
- Terrain: It is a macadamized (paved) urban course. While mostly flat, there are gentle undulations typical of the Luxembourg plateau that can challenge your pace in the final 3 km.

Pro Tip: Don’t forget the Pasta Party! It’s back for 2026 on Friday, March 6, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the bib collection point for all 10 km participants.
The Postlaf Luxembourg is one of the most anticipated events in the Grand Duchy’s sporting calendar, traditionally serving as the unofficial “season opener” for road running in the spring.
Organized by the Amicale POST Luxembourg (the social and sports association of the national postal service), the race has evolved from a small corporate initiative into a major public event.
Key Milestones in Postlaf History
- 1996: The Inaugural Race The Postlaf held its very first edition in 1996. Interestingly, even as the race grew to thousands of participants, a small group of “pioneer” runners (approximately eight individuals) famously maintained a streak of participating in every single edition since its inception.
- Expansion & Popularity By the mid-2010s, the race consistently attracted between 2,500 and 3,000 runners. Its fixed 10 km distance and timing in early March make it the primary preparation race for athletes eyeing the ING Night Marathon later in May.
- The 2021 Virtual Shift Like many global events, the 25th-anniversary celebrations in 2021 were adapted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of a mass gathering, the event went virtual, where POST Luxembourg donated €5 to Caritas Luxembourg for every participant who recorded a 10 km run independently.
- 2026: The 28th Edition The race continues to thrive, with the 28th edition scheduled for March 8, 2026. It remains centered at the Cloche d’Or (Gasperich), moving through the Cessange district.
