The Reconco Gerês Granfondo 2026 is one of Portugal’s most prestigious and scenic mass-participation road cycling events, organized by Bikeservice. Set in the stunning Peneda-Gerês National Park, it offers a challenging mix of steep mountain climbs and breathtaking natural landscapes.

- Start Time: 09:00 AM (All categories depart simultaneously, with starting boxes opening at 08:00 AM)
- Format: Point-to-point road cycling on open roads (subject to traffic regulations)
- Participant Limit: 1,500 riders
Route Options & Distances
The event features three distinct routes designed to match different fitness levels, heavily featuring local mountain “walls” like Pincães (2 km with a grueling average of 10.7%) and Ermida.
- Granfondo: 131 km (approx. 2,570m of elevation gain)
- Mediofondo: 89 km – 90 km (approx. 1,910m of elevation gain)
- Minifondo: 54 km – 56 km (approx. 1,150m of elevation gain)
Note: The course control/finish line officially closes at 16:00 (4:00 PM).
Key Logistics & Registration
- Registration Deadline: Closes on June 5, 2026, at 18:00 (or when the 1,500 participant cap is reached).
- Pricing: * €43 for federated riders (Portuguese Cycling Federation – UVP-FPC license required).
- €47 for non-federated riders (includes required personal accident and liability insurance).
