Two Nights Tour – 31.12.25 – 01.01.2026
The Two Nights Tour is a prominent women’s ski jumping tournament within the Viessmann FIS Ski Jumping World Cup.
It was introduced in the 2023/24 season as the women’s counterpart to the legendary men’s Four Hills Tournament. The tour takes place during the New Year period and consists of two individual competitions held at iconic venues in Germany.
## Key Details of the Tour
- Venues: The tournament is held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberstdorf. Interestingly, the women jump these venues in the reverse order of the men’s schedule.
- The Format: The winner is determined by the total number of points accumulated over the two competitions (including qualification rounds).
- Rules: Similar to the men’s Four Hills, it often utilizes a “KO-System” (knockout duels) in the first round, where jumpers face off in pairs to advance to the final round.
## Current 2025/26 Schedule
As of December 2025, the tournament is currently underway:
- December 31, 2025: Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Large Hill HS142)
- January 1, 2026: Oberstdorf (Large Hill HS137)
## History and Evolution
The event evolved from the Silvester Tour, which previously took place in Villach (Austria) and Ljubno (Slovenia). The rebranding to the “Two Nights Tour” marked a move to align the women’s competition more closely with the timing and prestige of the men’s traditional New Year’s events in Germany.
Fun Fact: The Slovenian jumper Nika Prevc is the dominant force of this tour, having won the overall title in both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. She is currently the favorite to win her third consecutive title.
