The Fédération Luxembourgeoise d’Athlétisme (FLA) announce the qualification of Patrizia Van Der Weken (60 m) and Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann (1,500 m) for the European Indoor Championships, to be held March 1-3, 2025 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Top performances this winter
Patrizia Van Der Weken continues to impress in the 60 m, lowering her personal best to 7.07 seconds this season. Unbeaten in head-to-head competition, she currently holds 3rd place in Europe over the distance.

As for Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann, she recently broke the national record for the 3,000 m in 9:07.54, confirming her excellent form. Her personal best in the 1,500 m short track (4:08.73), set in 2023, remains a benchmark of her potential.

Objective: to shine in Apeldoorn
On the strength of these results, our two Luxembourg athletes will be approaching these European Indoor Championships with ambition and determination. The FLA gives them its full support and invites the public to follow their performances with enthusiasm.
