The program and event details for the 2026 Tour des Stations Fondo in Switzerland have been finalized. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, 2026, in the Valais region (Le Châble / Verbier).
Here is the official schedule and course breakdown:
📅 Friday, August 28, 2026
- 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM: Bib number pick-up & Exhibitors’ Village open at the Place de l’Ermitage in Verbier.Note: If you are tackling the Ultrafondo, you must pick up your race number during this window.
📅 Saturday, August 29, 2026 (Race Day)
Bib Pick-up:
- 4:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Late bib pickup (for applicable distances).
Race Start Times (from Le Châble, Route de Mauvoisin):
- 2:30 AM: Start Ultrafondo I (Individual & Relay)
- 5:00 AM: Start Ultrafondo II
- 5:30 AM: Start Superfondo
- 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Marmotte Granfondo (Staggered wave starts, including a dedicated women’s wave at 7:10 AM)
- 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM: Start Mediofondo (Staggered wave starts, including a dedicated women’s wave at 8:15 AM)
Finishes & Podiums (Verbier, Place de l’Ermitage):
- 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM: Finishes for all courses (The official timing line is at the mythical Col de la Croix-de-Cœur summit at 2,174 m, followed by a post-race area in Verbier).
- 3:00 PM: Mediofondo podiums
- 4:00 PM: Marmotte Granfondo podiums
- 5:00 PM: Superfondo podiums
- 5:30 PM: Ultrafondo “The Everest” podiums
🚵♂️ The Challenges & Distances
Each route starts in Le Châble and finishes at the top of the Col de la Croix-de-Cœur.
- Ultrafondo “The Everest”: 241 km | 8,848 m elevation gain. (A true mountain monster featuring the Col du Lein, Ovronnaz, Anzère, Crans-Montana, and more). Also available as a 3-person relay.
- Superfondo: 185 km | 6,800 m elevation gain.
- Marmotte Granfondo Valais: 133 km | 4,700 m elevation gain.
- Mediofondo: 74 km (approx. 78 km total) | 2,900 m elevation gain.
