The Tour de Suisse 2026 is debuting a new, condensed format that integrates both professional races and public events into a compact schedule. The event will take place over five days from Wednesday, June 17, to Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The “New Concept” Program
Starting in 2026, the race organizers have shifted to a “hub” model to make the event more interactive for fans (“Tour de Suisse for everyone”). Each day, a specific town serves as both the start and finish for the stage, creating a day-long festival atmosphere.
| Date | Stage | Location (Start & Finish) | Format |
| June 17 | Stage 1 | Sondrio (Italy/Border) | Men & Women’s Stages |
| June 18 | Stage 2 | Locarno | Men & Women’s Stages |
| June 19 | Stage 3 | Bad Ragaz | Men & Women’s Stages |
| June 20 | Stage 4 | Aarburg | Men & Women’s Stages |
| June 21 | Stage 5 | Villars-sur-Ollon | Men & Women’s Stages |
Highlights for Spectators
- Double the Action: For the first time, both the women’s and men’s professional races happen on the same day in the same location. Typically, women race in the morning and men in the afternoon.
- Public Festival: Each host town hosts a large public festival with sponsor villages, food stalls, and big screens to watch the race.
- The TdS Challenge: This is the “everyone” part of the race—an amateur event that allows hobby cyclists to ride sections of the original route under professional conditions.
- Free Access: Watching from the roadside or at the start/finish hubs is completely free. No tickets are required unless you wish to purchase VIP hospitality packages.
Quick Tips for Attending
- Arrival: Because stages are now circuits or start/finish loops, it is much easier to stay in one spot all day. Arrive early (especially in Bad Ragaz or Locarno) as road closures usually begin a few hours before the women’s race.
- The “Caravan”: Don’t miss the promotional caravan that drives the route about an hour before the riders, handing out gifts and snacks to the crowd.
