The Majestics UCI Gran Fondo 2026 (held in Villars-sur-Ollon and Aigle, Switzerland) is a premier alpine cycling event that combines road racing, gravel racing, and a time trial across the stunning Vaud Alps.

Friday, July 10, 2026: Time Trial (Road Bike)
Designed for pure climbers, this opening event starts in the village of Villars-sur-Ollon and finishes at the summit of the iconic Col de la Croix.
- Event: Time Trial
- Start Time: 4:00 PM (Riders depart every 30 seconds from the Villars Sports Centre)
- Distance / Elevation: 7.4 km | 467 meters of elevation gain (average gradient of 6.3%, ramping up to 13%)
- Podiums: 7:00 PM
Saturday, July 11, 2026: Road Races (Granfondo & Mediofondo)
These road races serve as official qualifiers for both the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships and the UEC European Championships.
- Granfondo Route: * Start Time: 7:30 AM (Villars Sports Centre)
- Distance / Elevation: 150 km | ~3,800 meters of elevation gain
- The Climbs: Col de la Croix, Col du Pillon, Col du Mittelberg, Col des Mosses, La Forclaz, and a final brutal re-ascent back up the Col de la Croix.
- Mediofondo Route: * Start Time: 8:00 AM (Villars Sports Centre)
- Distance / Elevation: 98 km | ~2,600 meters of elevation gain (Shorter route taking a shortcut toward Château-d’Œx but keeping the toughest final climbs)
- Post-Race: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Finish line festivities, catering, and exhibitors’ village at the Villars Sports Centre). Podiums take place at 3:00 PM.
Sunday, July 12, 2026: Gravel Races (The Summit & The Ridge)
Transitioning into mixed alpine gravel terrain, these races start flat in the Rhône Valley before taking riders into steep forest ramps and mountain tracks.
- The Summit (Gravel Granfondo):
- Start Time: 7:30 AM (World Cycling Centre, Aigle)
- Distance / Elevation: 104 km | 2,500 meters of elevation gain (Qualifier for younger age categories)
- The Ridge (Gravel Mediofondo):
- Start Time: 8:00 AM (World Cycling Centre, Aigle)
- Distance / Elevation: 70 km | 2,000 meters of elevation gain (Qualifier for men over 60 and women over 50)
- Post-Race: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Arrival, catering, and final podiums at 3:00 PM at the Villars Sports Centre).
