The Paris-Roubaix Challenge 2026 took place on Saturday, April 11th, just one day before the professional races. Since we are currently in mid-April 2026, the event has just concluded, and pre-registrations for the 2027 edition are typically the next step for those looking to tackle the “Hell of the North.”
THE LEGEND OF THE HELL OF THE NORTH
Like the Paris-Nice Challenge and the Liège-Bastogne-Liège Challenge, the Paris-Roubaix Challenge offers amateur cyclists the possibility of getting as close as possible to a legendary professional race: Paris-Roubaix.
Just a few hours before the pro men and women, amateurs from around the globe will get to test their mettle against the legend of the Hell of the North and its fabled cobbled sectors, including the Carrefour de l’Arbre and the Trouée d’Arenberg.
There are three increasingly difficult routes on offer. There is a legendary race for everyone, covering distances from 70km, 145km or 170km. Course assistants will be on hand along the route to make it easier for you to
on open roads.
Paris-Roubaix Challenge is a challenge ride held on roads open to traffic. As a result, you must always follow the rules of the road (e.g. traffic lights, right of way, and stop and yield signs).
Be cautious and follow the safety rules:
- Stick to the right side
- Overtake exclusively on the left side.
- Adjust your speed to the weather conditions, especially in the cobbled sectors
- Do not overestimate your physical condition”
A SPORTING AND HUMAN CHALLENGE
However, the real spirit of the Paris–Roubaix Challenge is to take up the challenge with friends and to cross the finish line at the famous Roubaix Velodrome together. The shared experience will continue the next day as you will be able to encourage the greatest cyclists who will try to add their name to the list of winners of Paris-Roubaix Femmes and Paris-Roubaix.
2026 Event Overview

| Route Name | Distance | Cobblestone Sectors | Approx. Cost |
| La Découverte | 70 km | 8 sectors | €59 |
| La Mythique | 145 km | 19 sectors | €84 |

Key Logistics
- The Finish: All routes end at the Roubaix Velodrome, where riders can often access the historic concrete showers.
- The Start: * The 170 km route usually starts and ends in Roubaix (loop).
- The 70 km and 145 km routes are point-to-point, typically requiring a shuttle service or private transport to the start line.
- Registration: For 2027, it is highly recommended to pre-register on the official Time to platform. Spots for the longer distances tend to sell out quickly as the event date approaches.
Alternative: Paris-Roubaix Cyclotourisme
If you missed the April Challenge, there is a separate event called Paris-Roubaix Cyclotourisme (organized by the VC Roubaix) scheduled for Sunday, May 10th, 2026. This version is generally more relaxed, lower in cost, and offers a full 210 km route starting from Compiègne.
Since the Paris-Roubaix Challenge (the amateur sportive) is a non-competitive touring event, there isn’t a “winner” or a traditional leaderboard like in the professional race. However, you can still find your personal performance data and the official results of the pro race that followed.
Finding Your Amateur Results
If you participated in the Challenge on Saturday, April 11th, you can access your personal ride data through the following channels:
- Official Timing & Diploma: While the event is not a race, certain sectors (like the legendary Trouée d’Arenberg) are often timed for fun. You can usually find your results and download your “Finisher Diploma” by entering your bib number on the Time To platform or the official Paris-Roubaix Challenge website.
- Photos: Official event photographers (usually Sportograf) post galleries sorted by bib number. You can find these by searching for the 2026 event on their site.
