The Volta RTP Stage is a bike ride that takes place on the Rest Day of the Volta a Portugal Continente, allowing everyone to experience the thrill of participating in a stage of Portugal’s biggest cycling race.
The route is approximately 74 km long, covered at a moderate speed, controlled by a race car. At the end, there’s a touch of competition, with the final kilometers covered “freewheeling” and timed finish times.
During the stage, you can count on the support of the organizing vehicles that accompany the professional cyclists of the Volta a Portugal Continente. These include commissaires, neutral support, a doctor, ambulances, the famous and feared broom truck, press/photographers’ motorcycles, and police motorcycles and cars.
The start and finish lines are at the finish line of the Volta a Portugal.
