Here is a brief history of the women’s race:
- Creation: The race was first held in 2021.
- Location and Format: It is an annual single-day road race held in the Wallonia region of Belgium, typically in October, and serves as one of the final European races of the season. The course follows a route between the towns of Binche and Chimay, ending in Binche.
- UCI Status:
- In its inaugural year (2021), the race was categorized as a UCI 1.2 event.
- Since 2022, it has been upgraded to a UCI 1.1 event, attracting a stronger field of professional teams and riders.

Note: The men’s race, which the women’s race is based on, has a much longer and intermittent history, dating back to 1911 as “Binche-Tournai-Binche,” and changing its route to “Binche-Chimay-Binche” in 2013.
