Preview of the 2026 Allgäu Tour
At the upcoming 2026 Allgäu Tour in June, we want to once again give ambitious cyclists the chance to compete for the yellow, polka-dot, and white jerseys in every age group (men and women) on our challenging circuits. Since both the starting locations and the stages were well-received in 2025 and are once again logistically feasible, we intend to continue with what has “crystallized” as a viable approach for the time being, following many changes in recent years.
Thus, the routes—subject to change as permits are still being processed—will remain unchanged in 2026 compared to last year. Accordingly, we intend to retain the U11 through U17 (male and female) and amateur categories and offer this stage race. We will once again kick off on Friday evening with the hill climb from Rettenberg to Hinterberg. It has not yet been finalized whether this will be held as an individual time trial or a mass start. However, we expect a decision on this to be made in the course of February.
We are keeping Stage 2 in Ottacker unchanged in terms of laps and times and hope for crash-free races on this unique circuit in the Iller Valley. For the finale in Sonthofen, we’re also sticking with the “status quo” from 2025, including the beginner’s race at 9:00 or 9:10 a.m. up to the U11 boys/girls category.
For details on the schedule and routes, please check the relevant tabs on the website. We hope for a fair competition in 2026 as well and look forward to a lively turnout.
The website allgaeu-tour.de is the official platform for the Allgäu Tour, a prestigious three-day stage race organized by the RSV Sonthofen cycling club.
Unlike general cycling tours, this event is a licensed competitive race specifically focused on youth development and amateur categories. Here are the details for the 2026 edition:

Why this event is significant
The Allgäu Tour is known as one of the most challenging youth races in Germany due to the mountainous terrain. It attracts young athletes from across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

- Registration: Usually opens in early spring via the website.
