The official program for the 26th Säntis Classic in Weinfelden, Switzerland, balances a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with fantastic alpine and lakeside views.
🗓️ Saturday, June 13, 2026: Pre-Event & Gravel Day
- 10:00 AM – Classic-Village Opens: Festivities, food stalls, and exhibitors open at the Weinfelden Ice Rink (Eishalle Weinfelden), featuring live musical entertainment.
- 11:00 AM – Start Number Pick-up Opens: For Gravel-Ride participants.
- 12:00 PM – Gravel-Ride Thurgau Starts: Grouped wave starts in front of the Classic stage. (Route: ~60–85 km through the Thurgau region).
- 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Family-Slow-Tour / Öpfel-Tour: A casual, GPS-guided relaxed bike tour for families through the beautiful “Mostindien” orchards.
- 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Warm-Up Welcome Tour: A guided warm-up ride to ease your legs in, heading out toward Lake Constance (Bodensee).
- 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Main Start Number Pick-up: Open for Sunday’s Radathlon and Classic-Tour riders inside the Eishalle.
- 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Wine Tasting & Pasta Party: Wine tasting at a local vineyard above Weinfelden for early arrivals, followed by a Bar operation, the BSCHÜSSIG Pasta Party, and fresh food back at the Classic-Village.
- 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Briefing & Nutrition Lecture: Sports nutrition lecture by SPONSER in the main tent, followed by the essential rider briefing regarding safety rules and routes.
🗓️ Sunday, June 14, 2026: Main Ride Day
- 5:00 AM – Classic-Village & Catering Open: Early morning music and atmosphere at the Eishalle Weinfelden.
- 5:15 AM – Radathlon Pick-up Opens: Last-minute race number distribution for the marathon riders.
- 5:30 AM – 6:00 AM – Rider Breakfast: Fuel up for the long haul in the Classic-Village.
- 6:30 AM – 6:40 AM – Radathlon Starts: Rolling wave starts separated into performance groups (LG 1, LG 2, and LG 3).
- The Radathlon course is a grueling 200 km loop with 2,200 meters of elevation change, tracking toward Arbon and Lake Constance before looping back.
- 6:30 AM – Classic-Tour Pick-up Opens: Race numbers ready for the 130 km tour riders.
- 7:30 AM – Classic-Tour “SPEED” Block Start: Fast-paced wave starts for riders aiming for a high-tempo cruise.
- 8:00 AM onwards – General Classic-Tour & Volksradtour Starts: Regular wave departures.
- The Classic-Tour is a 130 km ride with 1,800 meters of elevation climbing into the Appenzell region, featuring the legendary Schwägalp pass (1,350 m above sea level).
ℹ️ Event Notes
- Vibe: This is a non-competitive, open cycle-tour (Jedermann/Volksradtour) meant to encourage community, friendship, and great riding rather than aggressive racing.
- Support: Features full motorcycle marshals, mechanical support vehicles, and fully-stocked refreshment stations along all routes just like a pro race.
