The 2026 Aquatics calendar is a significant “bridge year” for the sport. Unlike 2024 or 2025, there is no long-course World Aquatics Championship in 2026. Instead, the year focuses on the World Cup series for all disciplines and concludes with the Short Course (25m) World Championships in Beijing.
Below is the comprehensive schedule for the 2026 World Aquatics season.
🏊 Swimming
The swimming year is split between the “Silk Road” World Cup tour in the fall and the Short Course World Championships in December.

Luxembourg and its neighbors (France, Belgium, and Germany) have a very active 2026 aquatics calendar, highlighted by the European Aquatics Championships in Paris.

🇱🇺 Luxembourg
The “d’Coque” National Sports Centre in Kirchberg remains the hub for major international meets in the Grand Duchy.
- Luxembourg Euro Meet:January 30 – February 1, 2026
- One of Europe’s premier early-season meets. It consistently attracts Olympic stars (like David Popovici and Florent Manaudou) and serves as a qualifying event for major international championships.
- CIJ Meet Luxembourg:March 12–14, 2026
- A massive international youth and open category meet with over 2,000 entries, held at d’Coque.
- Artistic Swimming Youth European Championships:June 4–7, 2026
- Luxembourg will host the continent’s best young artistic swimmers for this major European Aquatics event.
- Swim Trophy (1ère étape): January 25, 2026.
🇫🇷 France (The Main Stage)
France is the center of the aquatics world in 2026, hosting the “crown jewel” of the European season.

- Artistic Swimming & Diving: July 31 – August 5/6 (Saint-Denis)
- Open Water (River Seine): August 4–8
- Swimming: August 10–16 (Olympic Aquatics Centre)
- French Open Winter Championships: March 4–7, 2026 (Bourg-en-Bresse).
- Giant Open International Meeting: March 19–21, 2026 (Paris).
- French Long Course Championships: June 25–28, 2026.
🇧🇪 Belgium
Antwerp and Charleroi host the primary Belgian fixtures.
- Championnats FFBN Open: February 13–14, 2026 (Charleroi).
- Flanders Swimming Cup: March 20–22, 2026 (Antwerp).
- Open Belgian Championships (50m): May 15–17, 2026 (Antwerp).
