The Gran Piemonte (formerly known as the “Giro del Piemonte”) is an Italian one-day cycling race that has been held annually since 1906 🚴‍♂️¹. The race takes place in the Piedmont region of Italy and is known for its varied and challenging routes 🚴‍♂️¹.

This year’s race, held on October 10th, features a 182-kilometer route from Valdengo to Borgomanero 🚴‍♂️². The first part of the race is relatively flat, but it becomes more demanding with several climbs in the latter half 🚴‍♂️². The Gran Piemonte is often seen as a preparation race for the final Monument Classic of the year, Il Lombardia 🚴‍♂️² .
