41st Rhine-Ruhr Marathon: Duisburg will run on Sunday, May 5, 2024
Construction work in the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena forces city sports association to change the date
DUISBURG (11.12.2023). The 41st Rhine-Ruhr Marathon has a new date. The Duisburg race will now take place on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The start will still be on Kruppstraße in Duisburg Sports Park. The finish line will be the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena as usual. This is announced by the organizing Stadtsportbund Duisburg.
The change of date is necessary due to construction work in the stadium. The 41st edition was originally planned for the beginning of June. The SSB will inform the more than 700 starters who have already booked their tickets for the Rhine-Ruhr Marathon as soon as possible. Their registration remains valid. If they are unable to participate on May 5, 2024, the SSB will refund the registration fee. The prerequisite for this is an email cancellation by Sunday, January 7, 2024.
