Marie Schreiber won the women’s elite race at the Parkcross Maldegem in a race marked by an altercation between two riders. Schreiber was the strongest on the day, taking a convincing victory over Inge van der Heijden and Sara Casasola, who completed the podium. The gaps between the top three riders were not huge, but Schreiber was clearly the dominant rider.  

The race was marred by an incident involving Manon Bakker and Jinse Peeters, who were both disqualified after a get-together and subsequent altercation mid-race. Both riders were removed from the race, which allowed other riders to move up into the top 10.
