Cross-country is like an athletics adventure! Imagine a race where the track is never the same: one minute you’re crossing fields, the next you’re climbing a hill, then plunging into a wood, maybe even in the rain or mud. It’s sport, but with a touch of wilderness!
Here, there’s no question of staying on a smooth track. Every stride is a challenge. What about distances? They vary, from a few kilometers for beginners to longer courses for pros. And whatever the level, team spirit is often the order of the day, especially in school and university competitions.
In short, cross-country is all about running, but with a healthy dose of fun and the unexpected! You have to love adventure and know how to adapt. Each race is unique and leaves you with memories… and often muddy shoes!
