Everything is ready for the XXIII Padova Marathon, which will take place on Sunday 23 April. On the eve of the event, the Sala Paladin of Palazzo Moroni hosted the press conference with the top runners ready to challenge each other in the main race, which starts at 8.30 a.m. in the Euganeo stadium grounds, and in the half marathon, which starts at 9.45 a.m. in Abano Terme.
“The eyes of the world are on Padua: We are proud that we will have athletes from 53 different nations at the start, a record number for us, for an event that is a driving force for the whole province and not only of sporting importance. We will have 4,000 athletes competing in the two competitions, not counting the participants expected for the Stracittadine, for which we will only be able to give an estimate in the next few hours, but we can already say that we will certainly exceed 20,000 participants in the competitions and non-competitions
