Giro-E is a unique e-bike experience in the world, taking place on the days and roads of the Giro d’Italia. Organised by RCS Sport, it is a cycling event on the calendar of the Italian Cycling Federation. Its first edition was in 2019. Open only to e-bikes, which allow normally trained cyclists to tackle the climbs usually reserved for champions, the event gives all cycling enthusiasts the experience of the Corsa Rosa, as it tracks its route. Only the start cities change, as well as the stage mileage, which is shorter.
The 2024 edition includes 20 stages with a daily route of 30 to 85 kilometres. There will also be time trial stages, which in the Giro-E become regularity trials.
