CYCLING: CHALLENGE BRETON – Grand Prix de Plouay Paracycling (FRA)

Created in 2021, the Grand Prix de Plouay de paracycling joined the UCI calendar in 2022, along with the other two Challenge Breton de paracyclisme events held in Ploëzal (August 20) and Ploërmel (August 24-25).

Two international races will be held in Plouay on Thursday August 22, 2024, on the 6.3 km nervous circuit on the legendary Lezot hill. The gradient is 96 m per lap.

Handi-bikes and tricycles will start in the morning, at 10:00 am. Men’s handi-bikes will complete 8 laps (50.4 km). Women’s handi-bikes will complete 5 laps (31.5 km). Tricycles will complete 5 laps (31.5 km).

Solos and tandems start in the afternoon, at 2.30pm. Solo men and tandems have 10 laps to complete (63.5 km). Women’s solos and juniors will complete 9 laps (56.7 km).

The first two editions made their mark, with top-level athletes coming to Plouay to compete in unforgettable races, crowning some of the discipline’s most renowned champions, including several European and World champions.
