A special event is celebrating its 20th anniversary: the bett1.de Biathlon World Team Challenge at Schalke.
Since 2002, the biathlon at Schalke has been one of the most popular winter sports events in the world with its World Cup-level cross-country ski run. The unique atmosphere and the close proximity to the track attract fans and athletes alike. Year after year, the enthusiastic audience creates a fantastic atmosphere both in the VELTINS Arena and on the outdoor course.
Thorsten Kramer, Head of Events at FC Schalke 04, and Herbert Fritzenwenger, initiator and sporting director of the event, look back on the past two decades of this remarkable journey.
