Roller-Derby
Roller derby is a team sport played on roller skates on an oval track. Originally a protected product developed from speed skating demonstrations, the sport enjoyed a revival in the early 2000s as a mass sport practiced mainly by women. Most roller derby leagues adopt the rules and guidelines of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association or its gender-neutral equivalent, the Men’s Roller Derby Association, but there are also leagues that play on a sloped track, as the sport was originally played in the 1930s.
On October the 11th 2012, a group of passionate girls founded the Roller Derby Luxembourg non-profit association, the first Roller derby team in Luxembourg.
Roller derby is a predominantly feminine contact sport on roller skates, played around an oval track. The goal is for one of the players to lap the members of the opposing team in a given time lapse whithout being pushed out of the track. Modern Roller derby is an international sport with leagues all over the world.

We were asked to skate with Kaiserslautern Roller Derby in Prague for their last game of the season. What an opportunity for our skaters to get some game experience with such a great team.
So Amber and Susi went all the way to Prague to play.
Thanks KRD for having our skaters and hopefully this was not the last time!

Leaves started to fall and color and so will we on 4th November at our autumn roller derby game in Prague.
Come and see with your not only our falls and bruises. This time we’ll welcome German team from Kaiserslautern and it’s going to be lit.
You can expect some yummy munchies and beer on tap.
So bring your friends, grandma and come cheer for us to the sports hall in Třebešín.
We can’t wait to see you all on the first November Saturday!
