The stage race, which was first held in 2001, was held in 2009 and 2010 as the 3-Country Tour Linz-Passau-Budweis and is now part of the UCI Europe Tour. Especially for the local teams, the Oberösterreich Rundfahrt is not only a perfect presentation opportunity, but also one of the most important tours of the year. The spectator-friendly design of the tour with three spectacular stages, several rounds in the finish towns and a prologue in the provincial capital make top cycling in Upper Austria possible to touch.
